LRF-funded Researcher Earns NIH Grant

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Matthew J. Walter M.D., professor, Department of Medicine, Oncology Division, Bone Marrow Transplantation & Leukemia Stem Cell Biology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo., has earned a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The prestigious Specialized Program in Research Excellence (SPORE) grant will help Dr. Walter continue his research on potential treatments for myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). Doctor Walter's research was funded by the Leukemia Research Foundation in 2002.
